#10 One Missed Call

I did not enjoy watching the movie, One Missed Call. The acting was painfully awkward and nothing seemed to relate to the next line of events. The plot line was extremely predictable which left me annoyed at bored. A character would miss a phone call, they heard a message of how they would die, then they died. That sequence of events repeated itself continuously for two hours. Painful, I know. This film put a modernized twist on ghosts haunting the living by allowing the dead to communicate through cell phones. It was quite similar to other horror films, like The Grudge. It was obvious that the film makers wanted to add in random elements from Japan. Like having the first scene in the movie take place in Japan, and adding in Asian dolls wherever possible. I still don't understand why film makers seem to believe everything will be scarier if it has an Asian character or takes place in Asia. The special effects in this movie were also very fake and unbelievable. Overall, I would rate this movie a 1 out of 5, if even that.

I would not jump at any opportunity to see this movie. I think I would be bored through the whole thing since it is so predictable. Horror movies don't usually scare me, but I expect at least some suspense. One Missed Call doesn't sound suspenseful at all. The plot line sounds really lame to me, and I think that if they are going to throw in Asian stuff randomly, it better get explained at some point in the movie. I wouldn't be able to sit through two hours of a dumb horror film that has no suspense and bad special effects.

I'm not one for horror movies, so a bad horror movie sounds even more painful to sit through. I would probably get bored about half an hour into it since, as you say, the plot just repeats itself over and over. I think it really detracts from a movie when it could have ended an hour earlier that in actually did. Missing the phone calls doesn't seem to have anything to do with people dying either. It sounds like a really random, plotless movie that I wouldn't enjoy watching.

If you ask me, this movie sounds like a load of BS. Honestly, I'm not one for watching horror in the first place, but I really enjoy writing it from time to time. This, though... oh, dear. A scary movie that ISN'T scary and with predictable plot- sounds crappy if you ask me. I'm going to follow your advice and not watching this.

I haven't seen this movie, but i really want to see it I think the commericals seem great it seems super suspensful and with that in a movie it is always good. Although i hear bad things about this movie i have to give my side of the story! In the commericals for this movie it shows a lot of action and that is awesome!
